8000/10000 BTU Portable Air Conditioners for Room up to 350/450 Sq. Ft A5406

This air conditioner cools fast and also dehumidifies well. It is much easier to install than a window AC, but it did require some extra diy. The exhaust panel comes with 2 pieces to fit your window sill, but although the width is adjustable- the smallest size with 2 pieces was still too big for my window, and one piece alone was too small. So i use cardboard to fill the gap instead of the 2nd sliding piece. The panel did not at all fit under the main window pane ( the tube kept getting in the way somehow) but it fit much better under the storm panel. (I have very old Wooden windows, so the fir issue may not be a problem With modern Window. However i could not get it to stay without tape, so between the tape And the carboard- you cant care about aesthetics too much with this AC. I was hoping it would be quieter than my previous in-window AC. It is a little quieter- and the compressor has more Of an even white noise sound, but it is still louder than a window fan (listen to video). I think the price is reasonable and it is quite functional. Note: the “sleep” function can only be accessed vis the remote and does not appear to do anything. It is not any quieter when on sleep mode and runs for just as long an amount of time. I cannot figure out what sleep Mode is supposed to do Because there is no discernible difference when it is activated. I have been running it near continuously for a month and have only needed to drain the water once . This was easy to do by pulling out the stopper over a basin. I have had no issues with any water leaking

I previously ordered a different 10K BTU ac and it only cooled a small bedroom. I bought this one, 10K BTU and it cooled off my whole downstairs. Living room, dining room AND my small kitchen. Definitely worth it.

This is a great purchase. I live in Arizona and the AC in my house has been out and expensive to repair. I’ve been using this unit officially for a month now. Within the first 10-20 minutes of set up, it provided my entire room with cool air and allows my room to be comfortable to live in. It comes with a remote control which I appreciate so I can adjust the air at my leisure. It isn’t the quietest unit but it doesn’t bother me as I already sleep with white noise. And the wheels allow for it to be moved easily.

Bought this as a gift to an Aunt after purchasing mine about 3+ years ago.

Great unit ,last summer my main a/c unit went down was going to take a while to repair,I bought this unit to use in the bedroom to at least keep it cool and it did great far one room in an emergency

Love this thing!!! I have it in my bedroom upstairs and it keeps the room pretty nice and cool. I've used it the whole summer and it's still going strong.

It runs good. Noise levels is about expected. Its like having a movie on in the background. For me it's a good white noise machine. Its kind of as loud or a little bit more louder than a 20 inch fan on high.
It did cool my room in an hours. And even when my room was hot when I got back from work if I just point it at me then it would cool me down. I set the timmer and it worked. When I got back from work it was cool and was cold just shortly after.
I would recommend having a saw of some sort for installation. The window kit it came with was a little to long so I had to trim it(it's also what the installation instruction said to do)
