This window A/C unit is different than most in the way it is designed. It's shaped in a way to fit over the windowsill on the inside and outside in order not to block the entire window which makes it a fantastic option for our casita which only has the one window. It was easy to install and left just enough clearance on each side for a secure fit that does not wiggle back and forth. It has a high, low, and quiet mode. It also has a timer selection. It's easy to use with the included remote control. It comes with pieces to help seal the window on either side of the unit. It looks nice and modern, and most of all, it cools the room efficiently.

The design of this air conditioner solves a big problem for us. We live in an older home with fairly small windows, so getting enough light in the house with standard window air conditioners is difficult. The units can block a whole pane and keep it dark inside. This model, however, rides right over the sill, so that almost no light is blocked, and yet it still cools the room. It took less than a half hour to install with two people working at it. I love the quiet mode. You barely hear it going, and when it isn't blistering hot outside, quiet mode is still powerful enough to keep things cool. It is a little tricky to know what mode you are in from the remote control alone because all you have are icons to go by, but the modes are spelled out on the unit itself. The only drawback I see is that, as with any window air conditioner, I can't lock the window with the latch when the unit is in. It would be fairly easy for someone to open the window, climb over the unit since it sits so low, and get in the house. With other security measures in place, this is not much of a problem. I really like the dehumidifier setting. You can get rid of the humidity without blowing a bunch of cold air into the room when you don't want it. This keeps mold away in summer. The filter are two L shape pieces that slide under the workings and are very easy to remove and replace for cleaning. I like the different modes and how easy it is to switch from one to another. I like having a remote so that I can change temperature without having to cross the room. I also like how you can set the temperature to where the remote is if you want to, instead of using just the sensor on the unit. This will make summer much more enjoyable.

For starters, this thing is well made. Secondly, it's very quiet. About as quiet as what you'd expect from an in wall AC unit at a nice hotel (Marriott/Hyatt/Hilton) and MUCH quieter than ones you might find in an older best western, for example. Installation took about 15 minutes, 5 of which was wrestling it out of the box. As long as you can maneuver 50lbs with relative ease, the worst part of installing this for me was carrying it upstairs. Use the included foam to build a seal around it, set it in the window, and extend the legs on the outside to the right length to make it sit level....and that's it! This thing seriously could not be any easier to use, and the top of the U bracket is honestly WAY sturdier than one of these from Hisense I tried last year and returned from it having crumpled in on itself. I don't see that being an issue with this one *at all. It's hit 80 degrees here once, and having this upstairs for some extra cooling capacity has been WONDERFUL. Just as a test, I shut off the vent in my office, ran this, and it took all of 5 minutes to go from hot and icky to cool and temperate. That's in a 140 sqft room. This thing should be able to handle up to about 500sqft, so even if you didn't have central AC, an average 2000sqft home could easily be taken care of with just 3 or 4 of these. In my case, it's the perfect addon to let my built in AC work a little less hard and get a better balance of cool air upstairs. And the foam for the windows is very thick and dense, so I don't even see myself needing to take this out in winter. Heck, I might even put some plants on the shelf this creates right outside the window for the heck of it! It's also rained once so far, with moderate intensity (the kind you'd be okay driving in, but would have the windshield wipers on full blast for) and I didn't have ANY water get inside from my install. Window was wet. Outside of AC was clearly wet. But the foam was dry and nothing got past the outside of everything. Again, super impressed with how easy this was to install and how good the insulation is. And just look at that! My window is only 4 inches off the sill, and that's with having used some of the foam to make an additional foam seal in the bottom track. All in all, I'm simply amazed at this little thing, both in quality, quietness, ease of installation, and how powerful it is and quickly it cools. It might not have all the bells and whistles of one that's wifi controlled but I don't want that anyway. If you DO want to be able to control it remotely though, you can easily get a wifi IR controller like the ones linklink makes for 20 bucks, make it learn the remote buttons this comes with, and then control it from *that* app through your phone or home assistant like Alexa from anywhere. Also, if you've got this far, here's one final install tip: Instead of pulling it up and out of the box, just tear the sides off the box. Makes lifting it out so much simpler.

This a great cooling unit and it also looks very nice. It chills the room quickly and the quiet fan is quiet. I think it might be the compressor that makes noise when it hums and vibrates and that is only sound it makes and it can be kind of loud for light sleepers. The remote makes it easy to control from a distance, but the info like temperature or mode might be out of sync when you change settings with the AC buttons instead. The remote display info refreshes after changing anything with the remote. The vent is adjustable. The foam boards and weather strips come included. It works for me and I love it. Had it for a month so far. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I have no information about efficiency, I just wanted an AC unit that didn't cover up all the window and the U shape is good for isolating the condenser outside so it releases the heat more fully outside. I would have preferred that the remote display have a backlight when it is used at night.

Cool design. Saves a lot of space. You don’t lost window visibility for the season. Much more attractive than a traditional window unit! Easy to install and cools a very large area.

I’ve used a lot of different window units before but was very impressed when I just opened the box. This a/c comes with everything ya need including things I would have to purchase myself with other units. You even have way more window view! Was quick and easy install. Touch sensitive controls, remote and mainly, Ice cold air!!

I’ve been using this compact air conditioner unit for a few days now, and it’s been a game changer. it delivers impressive cooling power and can easily bring down the temperature in a small to medium-sized room within minutes. The manufacturer delivered very quickly.The packaging was thoughtfully designed , allowing you to easily lift the air conditioner out of the box. The unit look very nice and easy to install . Because the weather here is still quite cold, I can’t install in the second-floor room yet, so I plug it in to test its operation. The test results show that it doesn’t produce much noise, the sound level is similar to a regular fan.

I love the way it fits in the window, and the seals that came with it. Yes it is very quit.

These are powerful and quiet air conditioners. The U-Shaped design is definitely the way to go for window units. Easy to install. We bought 2 of them. I would buy again and highly recommend these Window AC units, not only because they are great, but because of the proven customer support if something is wrong.

Does a good job cooling and has quite a few setting that come in handy. However, the main selling point of a window unit that sits low and straddles the window sill isn’t as great as it sounds. It’s also much louder than I expected.
Yes, it’s nice not having as much of the window blocked by an AC unit, and you definitely don’t have any worries that it’s going to drop out the window. Those are big benefits. But getting the unit into position and having to piece together weatherstripping/foam board to block window openings was a real headache. The unit also weighs much more than a typical window unit and is harder to navigate since you have to lift over the sill and then drop it down. You also need a big window because you need enough clearance to negotiate the unit through and then down.
If low profile and having the AC securely fastened around the sill are priorities, this is a good unit. But for the hassle it took to install, I will go with a regular in-window unit in the future.
Also, make sure you measure before you buy. I have what I think is a normal-depth window sill, and the unit barely fit around it.
